ICIC Summit Live: Kicking things off with ICIC President, Mary Kay Leonard
Here at the Chicago Cultural Center, Mary Kay Leonard is kicking off the “Urban 2.0” Inner City Economic Summit. There’s a great crowd. I’d estimate that there are at least 115+ folks in the theater getting ready to listed to the Access to Community-Based Capital panel.
Mary Kay is sure to point out that there is an excellent group of nonprofit leaders, corporate CEOs and economic development practitioners in the audience from across the nation. She says that those joining us here for the invitation-only Summit are the “decision makers.” This is important, she explains, because it allows people in the audience to share their ideas, learn about other cities’ programs, and then turn around and implement what they’ve learned as early as Wednesday.
Matt Reilein of JP Morgan Chase is now kicking off the Capital panel by introducing the panelists. More to come about this panel very soon….
